Hawaii’s island community of Molokai believed in change despite years of dependency on fossil fuel energy from Hawaiian Electric. Through diligent efforts, the community fought successfully to bring solar to their island. Hawaii sets a precedent for island communities around the world to reclaim cultural and resource sovereignty. Through the perspective of the local communities, local businesses, and politicians, this film highlights the importance of multilateral cooperation to achieve sustainable milestones, liberation, and climate resiliency on the Pacific Islands.
