Preserving Legacies
Giving a future to our past
Over the past year, the Convergence has partnered with Preserving Legacies and the National Geographic Society to document how cultural heritage sites around the world are being preserved in the face of climate change. Our team traveled to Togo, Benin, the Philippines, and Jordan to capture the intricate and inspiring stories of these living heritage sites.
The rich cultural traditions upheld by local stewards are increasingly threatened by climate change, which disrupts both their way of life and their deep connection to the land. Yet, despite these challenges, the communities’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding their heritage shines through. Join us on this journey as we highlight powerful stories of cultural resilience and the fight to preserve ancestral legacies for future generations.
